For a third year, the FHS Law Enforcement SkillsUSA students are hosting the Holiday Festival as a way to bring Frenship families together while also highlighting their organization. While the event is free, donations are welcome with the proceeds going to help offset costs associated with the Law Enforcement SkillsUSA program.

"The reason we have this event is to try to promote our organization positively, branch out and connect with the community and peers inside of Frenship and to help raise money for our organization to afford new equipment to better our knowledge and skills, fees and proper uniform attire for those who can't afford it," said senior Madison Sugg, Law Enforcement SkillsUSA President.

Sugg says each year they try to make the event bigger and better by adding more kid-friendly activities. This year, children are encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas or holiday attire as they enjoy sweet treats and hot cocoa. The festival will feature stations including arts and crafts where kids can decorate ornaments, a station to write letters to Santa, and a photo booth for selfies with Santa and the Grinch. New this year, they’ve added the Polar Express station where the Law Enforcement students will read the Polar Express to kids at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

“I believe events like this is important because it brings children closer to the Frenship community, and children can enjoy these fun little activities,” said Sugg. “Not only is it important to the Frenship Community but it's Important to our organization itself, because it brings you closer with your peers involved in Skills and in the community itself.”

WHEN: December 4-5, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

WHERE: Frenship High School Student Center (Door 50)

WHAT: Arts and crafts, treats and hot cocoa, selfies with Santa and the Grinch, letters to Santa, Polar Express story time (story time is at 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.)
