Zian Doctolero, a 7th-grade student at Terra Vista Middle School, claimed first place at the 74th Annual Lubbock Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 7, at the Lubbock YWCA.

The Regional Spelling Bee brought together district champions from public, private, and charter schools across the South Plains to compete for the title of Regional Champion and the opportunity to advance to the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
