Hello! My name is Laura Jackson, and I am excited to serve as the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Ridgewood Elementary, Terra Vista Middle School, Frenship High School and Memorial High School. I have been a licensed SLP since 2016 and have experience working in both the school setting and home health. Over the years, I have supported children with a wide range of communication needs and truly enjoy helping each student find their voice.
My professional interests include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), which involves tools and strategies—such as communication devices, picture systems, or other supports—that help students express themselves. I also enjoy using creative and individualized therapy approaches to keep sessions engaging and meaningful for every learner. Collaboration is a big part of my role, and I love working alongside teachers, staff, and families to help students succeed.
Outside of school, I enjoy playing golf, creating art, spending time with my family, baking, gaming, and traveling. These hobbies keep me balanced and inspired, and I love bringing that same creativity and energy into my work with students each day.
